Terms & conditions

Booking terms

Last updated 28 October 2026

These terms apply to every PowerStruggle booking. They’re here so you know exactly what to expect, and what we need from you, before your big day. If anything isn’t clear, message us on Instagram at @powerstruggleweddingband or email bookings@power-struggle.com.

1. Securing your date

Your date is booked once we’ve confirmed it with you in writing and received your deposit of £400 (or €400). The deposit is due within 2 weeks of signing our booking form. Until it arrives, the date stays open to other enquiries.

The deposit reserves the date for you and means we turn away other bookings for that night, so it is non-refundable except where we cancel (see section 6). It comes off your final balance.

2. Paying the balance

The balance of your agreed fee is due in cash on the night.

3. When we play

We play two sets. The first starts once the top table has been cleared and runs until the tea is served. We then take a break so your guests can eat, and come back on for the second set, playing until your DJ is ready to take over.

We arrive in good time to set up and soundcheck before your first set.

4. DJ

We can provide a DJ for between sets and after the band finishes, at an additional cost. A DJ needs to be booked and confirmed in advance along with the band.

5. If you need to cancel or change your date

Please tell us in writing, by Instagram message or email, as soon as you can.

  • If you cancel, the deposit is kept. If you cancel within 8 weeks of your wedding, a cancellation charge of 50% of the balance also applies, as we’re unlikely to be able to rebook the date at such short notice.
  • If you need to move your wedding, we’ll do our best to move your booking to the new date. If we’re available, your deposit carries over.

6. If we can’t play

In the unlikely event that we can’t perform because of serious illness, an emergency or anything else outside our control, we’ll let you know straight away. We’ll either arrange suitable replacement musicians, with your agreement, or refund everything you’ve paid us, including your deposit.

7. Our line-up

PowerStruggle is a regular line-up, but like every working band, there may be times when one of our members isn’t available for your date. When that happens, we bring in an experienced replacement musician who knows our set and plays to the same standard.

Your booking, set list and fee stay the same, and you’ll still get the full PowerStruggle show. If you’d like to know who’s playing on your night, just ask us closer to the date.

If a member who plays a featured part of your day, such as the fiddle for your first dance, won’t be available, we’ll tell you as soon as we know and talk through the options with you.

8. Your venue

Please check with your venue that live music is allowed, whether there is a sound limiter, and what time music must finish. We need a suitable area to set up and a safe power supply close to it. If your venue has a sound limiter, let us know when you book. We’re used to working with them, but we can’t be held responsible if a venue’s limiter cuts the power during a performance.

9. Travel

We’re based in Fermanagh and our fee includes travel to weddings in Fermanagh, Tyrone, Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, Donegal and Sligo. For venues further afield, any travel or accommodation costs will be agreed with you before you book.

10. Song requests

We’re happy to learn your first dance or a must-play song where we can. Please send requests at least 3 months before your wedding so we have time to rehearse.

11. Equipment and safety

We bring and are responsible for all of our own equipment. We ask that you take reasonable care that guests don’t damage it, and that the venue is safe for us to play. We may pause or stop a performance if we believe it has become unsafe for our band or your guests.

12. Things outside anyone’s control

Neither of us is responsible for failing to keep to these terms because of events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, venue closure or government restrictions. If that happens, we’ll work with you to move your booking to a new date or agree a fair refund for anything we haven’t delivered.

13. Your rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Is your date free?

Send us your date and venue and we’ll check availability.
